NOTE

I offer reduced fee options based on a client’s ability to pay and as agreed upon mutually.  I will do my best to offer an affordable rate.  It is my belief that no one should be denied Christian counseling due to lack of resources.

  • Confidentiality and Diagnosis-Free Therapy: Clients who pay out of pocket are NOT required to have a diagnosis for treatment.  Most insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to be covered.  You may not meet the criteria for a diagnosis.  You may also not want employees of insurance companies to view your personal information or diagnosis.  In addition, a diagnosis becomes part of your permanent medical record and could possibly affect you when applying for life insurance or long/short term disability.
  • Often health insurance companies choose your therapist for you.  I believe you should be able to choose the therapist that you feel most comfortable with, not who the insurance company chooses to cover.
  • Health insurance companies decide how many sessions they will cover.  With private pay you are in charge of the length and frequency of your therapy.
